How do you get started?
Implementation Overview:A Channel Intelligence representative will arrange a Kickoff Call with you to address any questions or concerns, as well as outline your specific timeline. Two primary topics that will be discussed during the Kickoff Call are your product data, and your preferred implementation type.
Your product data details will be used to identify retailers who are carrying your products. Production cannot begin until this has been provided.
As well, if you have a direct store that you would like to be included with your other preferred retailers, a retailer data feed will need to be provided. This data feed is required to be delivered via FTP once every 72 hours. This requirement helps ensure that we have the most up to date information about the products your direct store carries, so it can be accurately represented on the retailer grids that CI will be generating.
There are two implementation types, both of which are Java Script-based components that would be installed on your Web site. These components are the “Buy Button” and the “Retailer Grid”.
The “Buy” button is a piece of Java code that would be placed on your product page. This code will determine whether or not to render the “Buy” button based on retailer availability. If there is a CI covered retailer carrying the product, the button will appear. If no retailers are carrying the product, no button will appear.
The retailer grid can be displayed in one of two ways, Hosted or Embedded. A CI hosted retailer grid is displayed as a “pop-up” window after the Buy button has been clicked. The look and feel of the hosted page can be modified to resemble the look and feel of your website to ensure a consistent user experience and the only addition to your Web page is the Buy button. A CI embedded retailer grid is displayed in a table on your web page. CI hosts the grid along with its data, and you host the product page around the grid for a seamless integration into your existing page design.
